I am the sky
you are the sun
luminous and warm
sometimes so bright
I have to shut my eyes
sometimes dimmed
by the eclipsing clouds
that hide the light from all
the world
you were the unexpected
dancing your fingers
along my spine

your voice reaching
the chandelier
reverberating off my soul
You and I
are two feral cats
scratching at each other's doors

Silver arrangements
like diamonds on the dinner plate
you're a specter in that chair
coaxing me with your vacant stare
tangled linens
wrapped around your phantom limbs
you're a ghost in the hall
you haven't slept here at all
toneless words
catching flight on a windless night
calling out to me in whispers sweet
I'll be home soon, I'm coming home

I am glue drying in the sun
Stuck here on the pavement of frustration
I am Flowing from an ink pen
When no ink will come
Prisoner to imagination with no paper in sight
I write on my hands
It bleeds through my flesh
Permeates the expanse
And I collapse on top of the night
What did you do
To make me bleed?
What have did you do
To fight the rebellion
In the confines of your need?

Withering Tree

Withering tree
give your beauty
to me
raging storm
give all your strength
to me
because
my collapsing arms
have died in defeat
There's too much
to discern
from this back seat
what will we do
when this shallow world
breaks open
and bleeds?
I've slipped my finger
inside the holes
but I can't hold
the sea
would you come and wrap
your arms
come and wrap them
around me
